Are you the bottleneck in your business?
Over the last few weeks, I’ve been having this conversation a lot with clients. Clients that have really successful businesses yet are busy, stressed, overwhelmed and no matter how many new people they recruit, can’t quite seem to get enough space and time to focus on really important things.
yourself – ask your self this. Do I want to still be in this place in a years time? If not, it is worth the time and investment showing someone else how to do it.
5. Loosen the grip
It can feel pretty scary to let go and trust in other people. But if you don’t do this, you will end up micro-managing people and this will lead to a team of pretty fed up people. People want to know what you expect from them, and also what the implications are of not doing something to that standard.
Ask yourself what do you need to feel safe? What do you need to know that all will be ok if you do loosen the grip?
Is this a certain amount of money in the bank so there is a buffer in place if you are handing over sales for example? Is it having clear processes written down so people know exactly what to do? What do you need to do to contain that fear?
What next?
Well this may all seem a bit too easy, and too good to be true. The truth is that this level of change takes time, and it might not be easy. But trust me, by taking these baby steps you will be moving to a place where you can really focus on what matters most, and maybe even have a bit more time for you.
If this all feels a bit daunting, don’t worry I can help. I absolutely love doing this work, and can be there to hold your hand and also hold you accountable to making these shifts in your business.
